Rwenzori Mountains National Park was established as early as 1991 and later designated as a UNESCO Wolrd Heritage Site in 1994 because of it’s amazing natural beauty that comprised Rwenzori mountains ( home to Africa’s third highest peak), beautiful waterfalls, lakes and glaciers. The fee for entering Rwenzori Mountains National Park is US$ 35 for foreign non-residents, US$ 25 for foreign residents & only UGX 150,000 for East African citizens and you must be at least 12 years old to be allowed to hike the mountain peaks.
