Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is a home to over half the population of endangered mountain gorillas in the world. Thousands of visitors from around the world crown south western Uganda for a chance to come face to face with giant apes in the wild. Other activities you can enjoy include visitors bird watching, mountain hiking, nature walks and community tours.
DAY 1- Transfer from Kampala to Bwindi national park
Today you start your 3 days gorilla tour adventure to Bwindi impenetrable forest National Park. The drive from Kampala is approximately 9hrs with great views of the terraced hills, cultivated open lands, and various homesteads. Enjoy an en-route lunch meal and proceed to the park where you will have your dinner and overnight stay in your preferred lodge
DAY 2– Gorilla trekking
Today is the best highlight of the whole tour, you are meeting the mountain gorillas. Have enough breakfast, enough to give you instant energy. Be at the park briefing center by 7:30am. After briefing follow you guide through the impenetrable tracks of the forest. This will be quite tough but viewing the gorillas is worth your effort. You have just an hour with the gorillas and find a comfortable shade as directed by guide to have your lunch meal. After tracking make you way back to the center. There after return to your lodge and refresh.
DAY 3- Return to Kampala
Today is when you checkout and head back to Kampala. Along the journey, you can stop over at the equator for some photo shots and souvenirs.
